11am|The Centennial Estate

This year’s featured house is a 9,163 sq. foot brick and timbered Tudor Revival home!  Presented by St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild and benefiting Eskenazi Health.  Click HERE for the schedule which includes special guests “Two Chicks & A Hammer”.   Open through May 12.  CLOSED MONDAY.  $22.

 

 

FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY

11am|Georgia Street – Downtown Indy

Your favorite food trucks will be serving lunch on the Georgia Street Board Walk between Capitol and Illinois Streets every Friday, through Aug. 23rd.  11am to 1:30pm weather permitting.

 

 

HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY

Noon|The Tarkington at the Center for Performing Arts – Carmel

“A Call To Remember” with special guest speaker Esther Davidson.  Performances by the Carmel UMC Bell Choir, The Actors Theatre of Indiana, and the University School of Indiana Choir.  FREE.

A variety of Indy’s BEST food trucks which varies monthly, but up to 30!  Live music, beer, and games.  $5 at the gate.

DISNEY’S “NEWSIES” THE BROADWAY MUSICAL

7pm|Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre – Carmel

The story of Jack Kelly, a care-free newsboy and leader of a band of teenagers called “newsies”.  The show goes through May 11th.   Tickets start at $48.

 

 

LOUISVILLE BATS vs INDIANAPOLIS INDIANS

7:15pm|Victory Field

First 1,000 fans through the gates get a “Fanny Pack” from the Tribe, plus it’s Fireworks Friday!  Stick around after the game for a spectacular show.   Affordable fun with tickets as low as $9.

Broadway’s greatest musical legends meet Broadway’s greatest satirist in this funny and entertaining tribute.  Journey through more than 20 Broadway shows!  Goes through May 19th.

Produced by Loud & Fast Funny Shows.  The story of the film “Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” through live action, shot-for-shot Parody. Goes through June 1st.  $15.

 

 

DEREK HOUGH LIVE! The Tour

8pm|Old National Centre

You probably know him from Dancing With The Stars, but this is the first-ever solo tour for the Emmy award winning Derek Hough.  Tickets start at $26.

 

 

 

SATURDAY, May 4th

 

500 FESTIVAL 5K

7am|White River State Park

Participants will run or walk 3.1 miles on a course that weaves through downtown Indy.  Begins just before the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, using the same start/finish line.

 

 

ONE AMERICA 500 FESTIVAL MINI-MARATHON

7:30am|White River State Park

It’s called “The Greatest Spectacle in Running” and kicks off all the festivities surrounding the Indy 500.  Lots of entertainment and cheering along the course as participants head towards the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to take a unforgettable lap!

 

 

“MAY THE FOURTHBE WITH YOU”

10am|Children’s Museum of Indianapolis

Celebrating all things Star Wars!  Snap a picture with your favorite carbonite-encased smuggler, brush up on your Yoda-speaking skills and find lots of Star War activities throughout the museum for fans of all ages.

Home Bout 4.  Another “doubleheader” featuring The Tornado Sirens and the Warning Belles.  Tonight they welcome Arch Rival Roller Derby from St. Louis.  Doors open at 5pm.  $15.  Kids 6 and under FREE.

Seats start at $15.  Before the game, swing by the HONDA FUN ZONE just outside of LOS.  Lots of interactive activities, games, free giveaways and live bands.  A fun way to begin the evening.
