Experience Hollywood in the heartland, as you take a peek behind the scenes of your favorite Westerns while exploring their cultural impact.  See costumes, props, memorabilia, paintings and film classics.

 

LOG AND TIMBER HOME SHOW

1pm|Indiana State Fairgrounds Ag/Hort Building

Everything you need before you build your dream home, all under one roof!  Talk to experts face to face.  Attend a Log and Timber Home University.  Attend workshops and meet editors of Log Home Living, Cabin Living or Timber Home Living Magazine!  $20 gets you in all three days of the show.  Goes thru Sunday.

 

 

FRIDAY NIGHT HAWKS v. PACERS PRE-GAME EVENT

5:30pm|Nook Paleo Diner

Presented by the American Pianists Association.  Stop by before the game and meet Emmet Cohen (Pacers National Anthem performer & Prior American Pianists Award finalist).  Appetizers will be served!

 

 

NOBLE EVENING IN THE GARDEN

7pm|Indiana State Fairgrounds Expo Hall

A fantastic night, because it’s all about food and getting a peak at the Flower & Patio Show before it opens on Saturday!  Plus, proceeds benefit Noble.  With all of the food & beverages set up around the event, you’ll have a hard time getting to them all!  Magicians, Psychics, Caricaturists, and more!

 

 

SATURDAY, Mar. 10th

 

GREAT NORTH RUN & FITNESS FAIR

9am|North Central High School

Open to ALL walkers and runners!  The Great North Run is a 10K, 5K and Fun Run through the North Central School campus and surrounding neighborhoods. Food and the Fitness Fair are included in the registration fee. 

 

 

JOY’S HOUSE:  A DAY AWAY CAREGIVER RETREAT

9am|Calvary Lutheran Church

A COMPLIMENTARY event for ALL Caregivers.  The day includes educational sessions, pampering massages, breakfast, and more.   Adult Day services are available at both Joy’s House locations for your loved ones from 8am to 4pm.  Call 317-254-0828 to register.

 

 

“INDIANAPOLIS COLTS:  THE EXHIBIT”

10am|The Indiana History Center

Opening Day!  Digital interactive activities, player interviews, memorabilia, photographs and video of the Colts in action.  The exhibit goes until Jan. 19th, 2019.

 

 

60th ANNUAL INDIANA FLOWER & PATIO SHOW

“BIG GREEN EGG 101”

Everybody loves food cooked on a Big Green Egg!  Whether you’re new to the “Egg” or just need a refresher course, this is the class for you!  You’ll also get to try some of the dishes, so come hungry!  $25.

 

 

“THE TOWN MOUSE AND THE COUNTRY MOUSE”

A great way to expose the little ones to live theater.  The show lasts 65 minutes with no intermission and immediately after each performance, kids can join cast members in interactive learning activities designed to enhance their understanding of the play. 

 

 

KANGOO POWER!

JumpFit Indy is partnering with #SHESINVISIBLE to host a Kangoo Power Class.  Kangoo Power is an exercise program that uses Rebounding Shoes to jump during your workout!   #SHESINVISIBLE is an organization created to bring awareness to invisible disabilities.  $15 – Registration Required.

 

 

FOUNTAIN SQUARE COMEDY HOUR

7:30pm|LongShot Theatre

A live variety show with standup, sketch comedy and storytelling!  Tonight features Erin Carr, Willie Bostin, and Max Yoder the Founder of Lessonly.  Doors open at 6:30.  $5 - $7.

 

 

THE INDIANAPOLIS CHAMBER ORCHESTRA – “THE REEL WEST”

7:30pm|Schrott Center for the Arts at Butler University

The Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, in collaboration with the Eiteljorg Museum, presents a Harold Lloyd comedic silent film, double feature.  The orchestra will accompany the film screenings of “An Eastern Westerner" and “Safety Last”.  Also showing tomorrow at 3pm.

 

 

SUNDAY, Mar. 11th

 

PALATE & PURPOSE

2pm|Mix Master’s LLC

An afternoon of food and community.  International cuisine paired with local wines, plus hear details  about the launch of their new “Generations” Program, which focuses on teaching culinary skills to disadvantaged kids in exchange for good grades and community involvement.  $28.45 per person.

 

 

HEARTHSIDE SUPPER

6pm|Conner Prairie

Guests take part in an evening filled with costumed interpreters, hosted in the historic William Conner House.  Light appetizers will be on hand when you arrive, and then you will lend a hand with preparing the meal…churning butter, grinding coffee, prepping vegetables and more.  THIS IS THE FINAL NIGHT!
