FRIDAY – July 6th

 

FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY

11am|Georgia Street

Downtown Indy’s Food Truck Friday on the Georgia Street Boardwalk is a great place to meet friends for lunch!  The food trucks vary weekly.  Click HERE to see Friday’s line up. 

 

 

LIGHTS OVER MORSE LAKE FESTIVAL – GOLF CART CHALLENGE

4pm|Behind the Cicero Library

$20 for a 2 person team.  Limited to the first 40 teams to register.  Teams travel to 8 different sites and complete a challenge before moving on.  Cash prizes given to the top 3 teams!  The Flying Toasters perform at 8pm.

 

 

FIRST FRIDAY FOOD TRUCK FEST

5pm|Old National Centre

25 of Indy’s BEST food trucks will be set up in the parking lot with plenty of delicious food and snacks.  The lineup changes every month.   Sam Ash Music Stores provides the live, and local music.


 

 

SUMMER NIGHTS FILM SERIES – “GREASE 2

7pm|Newfields

Watch “Grease 2” under the stars!  Enjoy a picnic, music and activities, followed by the fil which will start at dusk.  (Usually 9:30pm)  Don’t forget your lawn chairs!  King David Dogs and Sun King Brewing Company will be there too!

 

 

 

 

SATURDAY – July 7th

 

LIGHTS OVER MORSE LAKE FESTIVAL

10am|Cicero Christian Church

The last day of the celebration starts with a “Golf Cart Poker Run”, followed by amusement rides, a classic car cruise-in at 1pm at Community Park, and  entertainment by the Blue River Band at 8pm.

 

 

 

INAUGURAL CLASSIC CAR SHOW & BLOCK PARTY

Noon|Georgia Street

Cars start loading in at 9am.  Howl at the Moon and the Open Arms Foundation present the inaugural American Classic Car Show.  Raffles, Giveaways and drink specials.   “Howl2GO…dueling pianos will provide entertainment throughout the day.  Awards given out at 4pm. 

 

 

“FORBIDDEN BROADWAY”

4pm & 8pm|The District Theatre (Formerly Theatre on the Square)

A new name on an old theatre on Mass Ave. and it’s a grand re-opening weekend kicking off with the long running Off Broadway hit musical, “Forbidden Broadway”.  Produced by the Actors Theatre of Indiana, the show pokes fun of Broadway Shows.  Performances go through July 29th.  Tickets start at $20.


 

 

INDY ELEVEN V. CHARLOTTE INDEPENDENCE

7pm|Lucas Oil Stadium

Swing by the Honda Fun Zone before the Indy Eleven take on the Charlotte Independence!  Lots of interactive activities and games.  Free giveaways and live entertainment.  Indy Eleven tix start at  $15.

DAVE MATTHEWS BAND SUMMER 2018 TOUR

8pm|Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center

The Dave Matthews Band has been hard at work on their 9th studio  album due out this summer.  Tickets start at $48.


 

 

KROGER SYMPHONY ON THE PRAIRIE

8pm|Conner Prairie Amphitheatre

Symphony on the Prairie, now in its 37th year, continues to be an Indiana summer tradition!  Bring your blanket,  picnic basket, wine…lounge chairs and relax under the stars listening to “Beethoven’s 7th Symphony.” 

 

 

CARMEL’S “LATE NIGHT ON MAIN”

9pm|Main Street in Carmel

Have some dinner and stay for the Carl Storie Band performing on Main Street in the Arts & Design District, 1 block west of Rangeline.  The FREE show starts at 9pm and goes until midnight.  Many of the shops, galleries and restaurants will stay open late.

 

 

 

 

SUNDAY, July 8th

 

COLUMBUS CLIPPERS v. INDIANAPOLIS INDIANS

1:35pm|Victory Field

It’s “KIDS EAT FREE SUNDAY”!  14 yrs. and younger get a voucher for a FREE hot dog, chips and water, with the price of admission.  The first 1, 500 kids 14 and under will receive a “Rowdie” kids jersey!

 

 

THE PRETENDERS LIVE!

7:30pm|Old National Centre

One of the most distinctive voices of a generation…The Pretenders are back, 36 years after the release of their first album.  The new album, “Alone” is the first in 8 years and you’ll probably hear some of the new stuff during the concert.  Tickets start at $20.
