The live presentation takes place 22 years after the sinking of the USS Indianapolis. Focusing on the wrongly court-martialed Captain Charles Butler McVay lll and his haunting memories. $10 with 50% of the proceeds going to the USS Indianapolis Survivors Organization. It’s one of the oldest festivals in the state, and one of the largest events in speedway, after the various IMS races, with thousands of attendees. Billed as “The Festival That’s Tops In Food!” Goes until 11pm. SAT – Noon to 11pm.
5:30pm|The Indianapolis Zoo
Swing Into Summer every Friday at this year’s Zoolapalooza Summer Concert Series! Performers vary each week and a Special menu and Beer Samplings will be offered. Included with Zoo Admission.
6pm|American Legion Mall
An Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration FREE event. You can spend $40 on VIP seating. Featuring Grammy Award winner Stephanie Mills, After 7, and Loose Ends.
Watch “An American Werewolf in London”, under the stars! Enjoy a picnic, music and activities, followed by the fil which will start at dusk. (Usually 9:30pm) Don’t forget your lawn chairs! King David Dogs and Sun King Brewing Company will be there too!

There are a lot of Antique Shops on the city’s near eastside, that are filled with architectural salvage pieces, perfect for DIY projects around your home. The antique crawl will offer special discounts, local coffee, beer, and food. Complete a Raiders Passport for a chance to win prizes. FREE!
For ages 7 and older. Conner Prairie will provide 20 spooky story authors with a place to write creepy stories. Plug-in stations for computers available, but bring your own pencils. At 2:45, you’ll join a Frankenstein discussion with the 1836 literary society! Same program offered Sunday. FREE with admission.
4 & 8pm|The District Theatre (Formerly Theatre on the Square)
A new name on an old theatre on Mass Ave. and kicking off the grand opening, with the long running Off Broadway hit musical, “Forbidden Broadway”. Produced by the Actors Theatre of Indiana, the show pokes fun of Broadway Shows. Performances go through July 29th. Tickets start at $20.
