161st INDIANA STATE FAIR

8am|Indiana State Fairgrounds

Opening day of “The 17 greatest days of summer”, celebrating Indiana’s Circus heritage!  The day starts with the Hot Air Balloon Race at dawn.   This year, you’ll be able to experience a single ring “big top” circus every day, located on the north side of the fairgrounds.  See Rick Springfield in concert tonight on the Free Stage at 7:30.   $13 Gen. Admission.

8am|Indiana Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium

Celebrating 50 years!  The longest running gaming convention in the world!  From Friday thru Sunday, experience non-stop gaming action with over 5,000 events and hundreds of world class exhibitors.  4 day badges are close to selling out and NOT available at the door. 

 

 

 

 

FREE SKIN CANCER SCREENINGS

Dermatologists will perform FREE full-body skin cancer screenings in the private exam rooms of the Skin Cancer Foundation’s 38-foot RV.  4-7pm. 

 

 

YUENGLING HAPPY HOUR

4pm|Monument Circle

Celebrate International Beer Day with HAMMER & NIGEL as they broadcast live from 4-6pm.  Enjoy $2, 16oz. beers, music, and games.  All proceeds will go to support the Caroline Symmes Cancer Endowment.  FREE admission.

 

 

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS TRAINING CAMP

5pm|Grand Park in Westfield

SUMMER NIGHTS FILM SERIES – “HITCH”

Watch “HITCH”,  under the stars!  Enjoy a picnic, music and activities, followed by the film which will start at dusk.  (Usually 9:30pm)  Don’t forget your lawn chairs!  King David Dogs and Sun King Brewing Company will be there too!

 

 

ZAC BROWN BAND:  “DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE”

Grammy Award winning country band Zac Brown Band make a stop at Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center for their 8th headlining concert tour.  The lineup includes The Mark O’Conner Band, and Darrell Scott.  Tickets start at $28.

 

 

KROGER SYMPHONY ON THE PRAIRIE – “THE GREATEST LOVE OF ALL – THE WHITNEY HOUSTON SHOW”

The show is described as “mind-blowingly spot on” as Whitney Houston’s musical legacy is brought to life.  Belinda Davids is amazing and this is a fantastic tribute.  You’ll hear Whitney’s greatest hits including “I Will Always Love You”, I Wanna Dance With Somebody”, “Greatest Love of All” and more.   SUNDAY: 8pm

2018 “WALK FOR WATER”

9am|Downtown Canal Basin

Experience what women and children go through to collect water in Africa every day…You’ll walk 3 miles along the downtown canal, carrying a 5 gallon bucket of water.  $25.  Benefits Jubilee Village.

OBERUN 5K

2pm|Military Park

Celebrate summer with friends, fun and Oberon!  This one is a 5K dash to a Bell’s Beer Garden!  You’ll receive a Bobble Opener Finisher’s Medal, Finisher’s Pint Glass, and shirt.  Food trucks and lawn games.  $34 - $45.


 

 

ZIONSVILLE STREET DANCE

6pm|Main Street, Zionsville

Live music, dancing and good food from local restaurants, sponsored by the Zionsville Chamber. Family friendly, so bring everyone!  $5-$15 ($40 family pack)  Goes until 11pm.
