CHEVROLET PERFORMANCE U.S. NATIONALS DRAG RACING

8am|Lucas Oil Raceway

“The World’s Biggest Drag Race”!    Started here in 1955 and there’s a lot of money to be won!  The US National’s draws up to 1,000 cars and the opportunity to meet NHRA Legends such as “The Snake”, Shirley Muldowney, Don Darlits, Kenny Bernstein and more!  Goes through Labor Day.

 

 

DEVOUR INDY SUMMERFEST

ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH FALL FESTIVAL

5pm|St. Joseph Catholic Church

All weekend!  Great variety of food, beer garden, rides and the annual Texas Hold’em Tournament, Sunday at 7pm.  Big Community Barn Sale and “Chicken Bingo” is back!  Goes through Sunday.

 

 

 

FISHER’S “BLUES FEST”

7pm|Nickle Plate Amphitheater

This is the place to be Labor Day weekend!  Friday and Saturday night includes performances by local and national Blues artists including Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, Robert Cray and Mike Milligan and Steam Shovel.  FREE admission!  Don’t forget your lawn chairs and picnic basket!

Friday Fireworks presented by the Indiana National Guard.  Hang around after the last out to experience spectacular fireworks!

11am|Georgia Street

Covers all 3 blocks of Georgia Street!  Live music, good food and drink, kids zone and a big slide!  Also spend a few minutes talking to vendors about job opportunities.  Goes until 6pm.  FREE admission.

Pedal Steel Guitar virtuoso Robert Randolph is the front man for this funk/soul jam band.  Rolling Stone put him on the list of their “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”.  He’s collaborated in studio and on stage with greats Eric Clapton, The Roots, and Dave Matthews.  Adults $31/Kids $13.
