49th ANNUAL RILEY FESTIVAL

9am|Downtown Greenfield

Celebrating James Whitcomb Riley’s birthday with one of the Indiana’s largest craft festivals.  12 Blocks of entertainment, food, vendors and more.  The parade of flowers begins at 12:30.  Park at the 4-H Fairgrounds and pick up the shuttle.  “Flying Toasters” perform at 8pm.  Festival goes through Sunday. 

 

 

 

HALF PRICE BOOKS “MEGA CLEARANCE SALE”

9am|Indiana State Fairgrounds Expo Hall

70,000 Sq. Feet of books, music, movies, comics and more.  Everything is $2 or less!  Goes through Sunday and restocking daily.  The first 200 shoppers each day will receive a free HPB tote Bag.  FREE admission.

 

 

46th ANNUAL PUMPKIN HARVEST FESTIVAL

10am|Stonycreek Farm in Noblesville

Hayrides, a pretty cool zipline and a haunted house.  Take a ride on the pumpkin train, or the kiddiepillar!  Open through October 31st, 10am to 5pm daily.  $5 parking Tue-Sun with no fee on Mondays! 

 

 

WATERMAN’S ANNUAL FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL

10am|Waterman’s Family Farm in Greenwood

A fantastic Indianapolis Fall tradition with hayrides, an obstacle course, mini train rides and a straw bale playground.  Acres of pumpkins and farm animals!  Goes through Oct. 31st.  Closed on Mondays.

 

 

 

OUR LADY OF LOURDES PARISH FALL FESTIVAL

5pm|Irvington

Carnival rides, flu shot clinic, Texas Hold ‘em, and “Blessings in Our Soup” book signing at 6pm.  Audio Diner on stage at 7pm.  SAT: 3-8pm.

 

 

 

“FAMILY FRIGHT NIGHT”

6pm|Indiana State Museum

A really fun way to kick off the Halloween season!  Dress in your favorite costume and get ready for a night of spooky fun.  Conduct experiments, discover monsters that call Indiana home, and make all kinds of creepy crafts!  Prizes for “Spookiest” ,” best” and “best Indiana connection” costume”.  $16.

 

CHRIS STAPLETON’S ALL AMERICAN ROAD SHOW

COMEDIAN LEWIS BLACK:  “THE JOKES ON US TOUR

Known as the “King of Rant” and will have you laughing at the absurdities of life!  He’ll cover current events, social media, politics and anything else that gets under his skin.  $20 - $59.

 

 

 

LEWIS BLACK “AFTER SHOW PARTY”

9pm|Deco Lounge at Old National Centre

A benefit for the Kurt Vonnegut Museum & Library.   After the show, head over to the Deco Lounge to enjoy food and cash bar and hang out with Lewis!   You do not have to attend his earlier comedy performance that night to be able to attend the “after party”.  $25

23rd ANNUAL INDY HALF MARATHON & 5K

8:30am|Fort Harrison State Park

Recognized by “Runners World” for a “stunning, beautiful course”.  Enjoy a FREE post-race cook-out for finishers.  $25-$90.

ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION “WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S”

9am|Bankers Life Fieldhouse

This event continues to grow with participants.  Downtown Indy will be filled with walkers of all generations to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association.  Registration begins at 9am, opening ceremony at 10:30am, followed by the walk.

RED BULL AIR RACE - Practice & Qualifying

10am|Indianapolis Motor Speedway

The best pilots in the world are at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend to race on the unique course inside the IMS.  Practice starts at 11:00am.  Qualifying at 2:45pm.  Tickets start at $20.  

 

 

INDIANA RENAISSANCE FAIRE

10am|Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center

Step back in time to the golden age of Queen Elizabeth 1 with 2 days of costumed characters, full contact jousting, period music, juggling, sword play and over 70 artisans and merchants.  Food, free kids games and more!  10 to 6pm Saturday and Sunday.  12 and older $14.  $5 – 5+

 

MONUMENT CIRCLE ART FAIR

10am|Monument Circle

Local artists get to showcase their work in a cool spot…around the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument in downtown Indy.  Great place to “buy” one of a kind pieces too.  Food trucks are on site and live entertainment.  FREE admission.

 

 

10th ANNUAL “WOOFSTOCK” & “SURVIVOR CHARITY WALK”

11:30am|Nickle Plate District

Indiana’s LARGEST pet friendly music festival featuring vendors and activities for kids and your 4-legged friends.  Live music from “The Doo” and “Shiny Penny”.  Food trucks and Metazoa Beer Garden!  $5 admission benefits the Hamilton County Humane Society.

 

 

 

“HALLOWEEN ZOO-BOO”

2pm|Indianapolis Zoo

Fall is a great time to visit the Zoo!  “Pumpkin Town” is back with lots of cats and rats.  Collect goodies along the “Trick or Treat Trail”.  Kids are encouraged to wear costumes and bring a reusable bag.  “ZooBoo” runs Tuesdays through Sundays during October.  Included with admission.

IFD vs IMPD in a game that benefits survivors of domestic and sexual violence at the Julian Center.  Boomer will be there, plus a halftime dunk show!  FREE admission.  Food & Drink available.

 

 

HANNA HAUNTED ACRES

7pm|Hanna Haunted Acres

Indy’s Haunted Theme Park!  Six haunted attractions for the Halloween season.  “It is a place to fear.  So fearful that it has made TripSavvy’s Events list.  Only the brave are the ones who make it through all the mazes.”   Open 7-10pm each night.  Until Midnight on Fri/Sat in October.   Ticket prices vary.

 

 

“A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM”

Part of the Indy Bard Fest.  AGAPE Performing Arts Youth Theatre brings to life a beloved Shakespeare comedy.  $15.   Last performance – Sunday, 2pm.
