WATERMAN’S ANNUAL FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL

10am|Waterman’s Family Farm in Greenwood

A fantastic Indianapolis Fall tradition with hayrides, an obstacle course, mini train rides and a straw bale playground.  Acres of pumpkins and farm animals!  Goes through Oct. 31st.  Closed on Mondays.

 

 

46th ANNUAL PUMPKIN HARVEST FESTIVAL

10am|Stonycreek Farm in Noblesville

Hayrides, a pretty cool zipline and a haunted house.  Take a ride on the pumpkin train, or the kiddiepillar!  Open through October 31st, 10am to 5pm daily.  $5 parking Tue-Sun with no fee on Mondays! 

 

 

 

 

“GRIM-NASIUM”  - IPL LIGHTS-ON HAUNTED HOUSE

10am|The Children’s Museum

The Children’s Museum Guild’s 55th Annual Haunted House offers a “Lights On” experience for children who scare easily.  This year’s theme gives visitors a courtside seat to see all the action in a monster-filled gym.  Tickets are $8 at the door.   10am-3pm.  Through Oct. 31st.   CLOSED Mondays.

 

 

INDY PIZZA WEEK!

11am|Participating Restaurants

A celebration of pizza, organized by NUVO Newsweekly!  NUVO invited local restaurants to create one week of pizza heaven for us, at half-off normal pizza prices!  It’s also a fundraiser for Second Helpings.  Click HERE for participating restaurants.  ENDS SUNDAY.

 

27th ANNUAL HEARTLAND INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Noon|Newfields & Local Theatres

The state’s largest and longest-running film festival, featuring more than 100 independent films, 200 visiting filmmakers and 300 film screenings, in 11 days.   Hours, screenings, and locations vary daily.  Click HERE for info and ticket options.

 

 

“HALLOWEEN ZOO-BOO”

2pm|Indianapolis Zoo

Fall is a great time to visit the Zoo!  “Pumpkin Town” is back with lots of cats and rats.  Collect goodies along the “Trick or Treat Trail”.  Kids are encouraged to wear costumes and bring a reusable bag.  “ZooBoo” runs Tuesdays through Sundays during October.  Included with admission.

THE (WHITE) HOUSE OF HORRORS’

6pm||Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site

Candlelight Theatre’s newest creepy show…The (White) House Of Horrors, by James Trofatter.  Meet the ghosts of haunted D.C., as they decide to take up residence in the Harrison’s home. Be prepared to travel from room to room enjoying performances throughout the home.   $14.95

 

 

HEADLESS HORSEMAN FESTIVAL

6pm|Conner Prairie

A Fall tradition in Central Indiana!  The Haunted Hayride, Barrel-train rides, potato sack slides, spooky storytelling, and a corn maze.  Also check out the amazing magic show.  Oct. 19-21 & 25-28.  Thu-Sun.   $13-$17

 

 

“CABARET POE”

7:30pm|The Phoenix Theatre

A 3-person, dark celebration of Edgar Allan Poe’s most famous works, blending original music and reimagined storytelling.  “Classic horror, insanity, and comedy come together” for an entertaining evening.  Goes through Nov. 4th.  Thu – Sat.  Sun – 2:30pm.  $24-$39.

 Help the Fuel fight again breast cancer in their annual benefit game for local breast cancer organizations.  Tributes will be made throughout the night.  It’s also a Sun King Brewery “Pucks & Pints” night!  Stop by the Cuervo Bar and sample a variety of beers from Sun King and other local breweries.

Perfect for all abilities.  Choose the course that is best for you, your coworkers and friends.  Members of your team DO NOT have to sign up for the same route.  Stick around for the “after party” with music, kids activities, food and more! 

 

 

“COATS FOR KIDS” DISTRIBUTION DAY

8am|Indiana State Fairgrounds Blue Ribbon Pavilion

If you are in need, or know a family that needs some help…FREE hats, gloves and coats for kids, will be distributed between 8am and 2pm, while supplies last.   The Salvation Army needs more volunteers!  If you can share some of your time, click HERE. 

 

INAUGURAL INDIANA PACERS 5K

9am|Bankers Life Fieldhouse

For all ages and fitness levels.  Start at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, and finish with a post-race party!  Boomer, the Pacemates, the Pacers Drumline and Pacers Alumni players will be there!  $35-$50.

THE BROAD RIPPLE “ZOMBIE WALK”

5pm|The Vogue Parking Lot

Now in its 13th year, The Broad Ripple Zombie Walk has become the state’s largest Zombie themed gathering – all ages are welcome!  You need to bring 10lbs. of canned food to participate…Your donation goes to Gleaners.   At 7pm – the walk begins through the streets of Broad Ripple. 

 

 

HAUNTLESS HALLOWEEN

5:50pm|Holliday Park

Actors from Booth Tarkington Civic Theater invite you to a fun family evening hike, along candlelit trails in Holliday Park.  You’ll interact with different forest creatures who can magically speak, and afterward return to the Nature Center for a campfire and refreshments!

 

“SECRETS, SPIES, AND SLEUTHS”
