FRIDAY, Nov. 16th

 

FESTIVAL OF TREES (Opening Day)

10am|Indiana History Center

80 beautiful trees, elaborately decorated and on display until Jan. 5th.  You can vote for your favorite, which will be difficult!   This year features a 30 foot “show-stopper” decorated in an Indiana theme.   There will be special programs too, along with daily surprises.  Included with admission.

 

JUNIOR LEAGUE “HOLIDAY MART”

10am|Indiana State Fairgrounds Blue Ribbon Pavilion

Get a jump on your holiday shopping at the Junior League of Indianapolis’ signature fundraiser.  Holiday Mart provides you with access to specialty retailers offering unique home goods, holiday gifts, fashion and more!  Goes through Sunday.   $10 in advance, $15 at the door. 

 

 

JURASSIC QUEST “RETURN OF THE DINOSAURS

3pm|Indiana State Fairgrounds West Pavilion

The country’s largest and most realistic Dinosaur Event.  You’ll experience for yourself what it was like to be among living, breathing dinosaurs from the Cretaceous period, the Jurassic Period and the Triassic Period.  VIP KIDS tix - $34.  Kids 2-12 - $20.  Adults $20.  Through Sunday.

 

 

30th ANNUAL “HOLIDAY TREE FEST

3:30pm|Warren Performing Arts

Get ideas or BUY one of the dozens of beautifully decorated trees from this year’s Holiday TreeFest!  Sales benefit initiatives of the Warren Arts & Education Foundation.  Also check out the Holiday Gift Shop, daily entertainment, or have “Breakfast with Santa & Friends” on Saturday.  $5 in advance. 

 

 

“FOLLOW THE NORTH STAR” REENACTMENT (Last Weekend)

6:30pm|Conner Prairie

Not suitable for children. (Under 16 Only with an Adult)  Participants travel back to 1836 and assume the role of a runaway slave on the Underground Railroad.  Be prepared, you’ll be walking on rough terrain in all types of weather.  Program starts every 15 minutes.  

 

 

ACTORS THEATRE OF INDIANA - “IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE

7:30pm|Center for Performing Arts Studio Theater - Carmel

Opening night of Frank Capra’s American holiday classic film comes to life in a live 1940’s radio broadcast. Goes through Dec. 23rd.  Times vary.

It’s become a family holiday tradition.  A spectacular train show with replicas of local and national landmarks.  The Indiana State Fair is back and new this year…a trip along Route 66!  Included with museum admission.  Goes through Jan. 14th.

 

“TURKEY FEST 2018”

10am|Sullivan Hardware & Garden

Join WIBC at Sullivan Hardware and Gardens as they celebrate cooking turkey outdoors!  The live broadcast of the Home & Garden Show begins at 9am.  Enjoy cooking demonstrations, live entertainment, and lots of samples!  Goes until 4pm.

 

 

FRANCISCAN HEALTH’S “MOVEMBER TAILGATE

11am|The Garment Factory in Greenwood

Join WIBC’s Hammer & Nigel, and 1070 The Fan’s JMV, The Producers, and Big Joe Staysniak for an afternoon of FREE Health Screenings, Men’s Health Education, Sports, Food and Fun!  Everyone who participates in the screenings gets a FREE Empty Growler to take home their favorite Beer!

4pm|Greenwood Public Library

Holiday craft making, free carriage rides, a Kris Kringle Market, caroling and Santa!  Silly Safaris will bring live reindeer and stick around for the tree lighting with Santa at 7pm.  Photos with Santa for $1.  Food will also be available for purchase.

BRIAN WILSON – GREATEST HITS LIVE!
