Barack Obama's High School Jersey Sells for $120,000

The 44th President of the United States' hoops jersey made headlines over the weekend.

From topic pulse:

"A high school basketball jersey believed to be worn by former President Barack Obama just sold at auction for $120,000.

The jersey is from his Honolulu prep school.

Heritage Auctions said they sold the jersey Saturday night in Dallas to a collector who wished to remain anonymous.

They came to the conclusion that it is the jersey that Obama wore in high school based off of a photo of him wearing a #23 jersey much like the one that sold at auction.

A portion of the sale will go to the school."

President Obama's basketball scouting report reads a lot like his presidency: Handles pressure well, strong with the left, but weak on defense.

This jersey joins other presidents collectibles who have played sports before their time in politics - the likes of George H.W. Bush's baseball glove from Yale, Gerald Ford's football jersey at Michigan, and Donald Trump's pink tie from WWE.

$120K is a lot of money for anything let alone a high school basketball jersey that may have possibly been worn by Barack Obama. But hey, spend it if you got it, right?
