WASHINGTON — The House of Representatives is preparing to take the first steps to try to get President Trump removed from power after the violence on Capitol Hill.

Pelosi says a resolution will be introduced that calls on Vice President Pence to move to activate the 25th Amendment.

A majority of the Cabinet would have to sign on to the idea that Trump is incapable of executing his duties, making Pence acting President.

Pelosi said if Pence doesn’t respond within a day of the resolution passing, they will move forward with bringing articles of impeachment to the House floor.

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says it’s dangerous for President Trump to still be in office.

“Every minute and every hour that he is in office represents a clear and present danger not just to the United States Congress but, frankly, to the country,” she said on ABC’s This Week.

Congressman Ted Lieu (D) of California said they plan to charge President Trump with inciting an insurrection.

On Fox News Sunday, former White House Chief of Staff and Northern Ireland envoy Mike Mulvaney even admitted he would take the issue of impeachment seriously this time as Democrats plan to move forward on that.

However, Mulvaney is not in favor of using the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office in the final days of his term.
