GARY, Ind. — A shooting on I-465 in December left one person dead. Police have one suspect, and are on the hunt for the other two.

On December 13th, 2021, around 3:30 a.m., Indiana State Police were called to I-465 southbound near Crawfordsville Road on a report of a shooting. Police found two people inside a car. One was dead, the other was injured. The victim was later identified as 28-year-old Miguel Emery.

State Police eventually tracked down three suspects who live in Gary, Indiana. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office filed three arrests warrants, and police eventually arrested one of the three suspects – 26-year-old Jasinto Carter of Gary. He’s charged with murder and battery with a deadly weapon.

“I’m not sure what the motive was,” says Sgt. John Perrine with Indiana State Police, “that’s still part of our investigation.”

Police are looking for Dawan Tyrone Glenn Jr., a 22-year-old Black man from Gary. He’s 5-foot-8, 157 pounds.

The other suspect is Briean Brown Jr., a 21-year-old Black man from Gary. He stands 5-foot-5, weighing 135 pounds. He has a tattoo on his left forearm that reads “Risky”.

“These two individuals are considered to be armed and dangerous,” says Sgt. Perrine.
