Perhaps you recall a time not so long ago when Democrats suggested that the only way to counter Bidenflation was to pump an additional $1.5 trillion cash into the U.S. economy via Biden’s doomed “Build Back Better” plan.
The White House arguement: The “Build Back Better” bill will help ease inflation because its investments will increase productivity and growth, which would supposedly reduce price levels… Eventually… Someday… Maybe…
One of the plan’s key provisions was a number of strategic tax CUTS.
But that was then.
Now, Senator Chuck Schumer claims the only way to counter inflation and reduce the cost of living for Americans is to HIKE taxes.
Fact: IRS data released in late 2021 proved that filers with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $15,000 to $50,000 received an average tax cut of 16 percent to 26 percent in 2018, the first year Republicans’ Tax Cuts and Jobs Act went into effect.
Translation: Revoking the Trump Tax Cuts would take even MORe money out of middle-class workers’ pockets.
Conclusion: That’s not going to make gas, groceries, and housing more affordable, Chuck.
