FISHERS, Ind. — You won’t be allowed to celebrate the new year inside any restaurant or bar in Fishers.

The Fishers Health Department has announced a new public health order that bans late-night in-person gatherings at restaurants, bars, taverns, nightclubs, retail food establishments, or any other place that provides in-person food or drink service.

Starting Christmas night, and lasting through January 8, indoor dining and drink services must end at 10 p.m. Carry-out dining will still be allowed, but customers may not gather inside.

The order is the city’s way to help prevent large New Year’s Eve gatherings as coronavirus numbers continue to rise in Indiana.
