INDIANAPOLIS — Get a COVID-19 vaccine at the Julia M. Carson Transit Center this Friday and receive free access to IndyGo for an entire month.

A free pop-up vaccination clinic will take place at the transit center on Friday, Sep. 3 from 8 a.m. to noon and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Moderna vaccine will be offered and is available to anyone age 18 and older.

The first pop-up clinic in July was a success, with more than 60 people vaccinated in just four hours.

“After the tremendous success of our last pop-up clinic, we feel like we’ve hit the jackpot with this location at the CTC,” said Inez Evans, IndyGo president & CEO. “We know transportation can be a barrier for many people to get out and get vaccinated, so we’re happy to see people taking advantage of this opportunity to utilize our extensive mobility network to connect to this important service.”

All participants will receive a free 31-day IndyGo paper pass immediately following their vaccination.

Additionally, the Marion County Public Health Department will host pop-up vaccination clinics at the transit center every Wednesday in September — Sept. 8, 15, 22, and 29 — from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All three COVID vaccines will be available, including the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines for anyone 18 and older, and the Pfizer vaccine for anyone 16 and older.
