(INDIANAPOLIS) — More than 600 Hoosiers are spending Independence Day in the hospital with
coronavirus.
The state health department has confirmed 522 new coronavirus cases, the second straight day over 500. Six more Hoosiers have died.
Marion County diagnosed 47 new cases, though the county marked its second straight day with no
reported deaths.
The totals in Indiana hospitals are basically flat — one fewer patient in the hospital than yesterday, but one more in intensive care.
6% of newly returned tests came back positive.
