INDIANAPOLIS — Fans of the Indianapolis Indians will not be able to watch their team in action in 2020.
On Tuesday afternoon, Minor League Baseball officially announced that the 2020 season has been canceled.
Following MiLB’s announcement, the Indianapolis Indians released a statement, saying they still have plans to hold a few events at Victory Field this year.
Indiana has three Minor League Baseball teams — the Indianapolis Indians (a Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates), the Fort Wayne Tincaps (a Single-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres) and the South Bend Cubs (a Single-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs).
