INDIANAPOLIS — St. Elmo Steak House was able to open with limited capacity Monday evening.

INDIANAPOLIS — Craig Huse, CEO of Huse Culinary, provided an update Monday regarding the closure of St. Elmo Steak House.

Huse said Huse Culinary is working with the Marion County Public Health Department on how and when it will be safe to reopen the restaurant.

The restaurant has been deep-cleaned and sanitized and employees have been tested for coronavirus, according to Huse.

All returning employees will have a negative PCR test result from a Marion Co. Public Health Department facility or already be fully vaccinated in order to return to work.

The Marion County Public Health Dept. has not identified any potential exposure risk to customers based on their contact tracing, Huse said.

INDIANAPOLIS — One of the city’s most popular restaurants is closed due to coronavirus.

St. Elmo Steak House closed after nine employees tested positive for COVID-19, according to a statement by Craig Huse, owner of Huse Culinary.

“Out of an abundance of caution, St. Elmo’s has made the decision to close the establishment and conduct a thorough, deep cleaning of the restaurant. While we regret not being able to serve our visitors, the safety and well-being of our employees and our guests is our top priority,” said Huse.

Huse did not say when the restaurant will reopen.
