Arrest Made in Murders of American Mormon Family

Three women and six children were shot and burned after their cars were ambushed by a Mexican drug cartel.

AGUA PRIETA, Mexico --  A suspect is under arrest in connection with the murders of a Mormon family in Mexico. 

The victims were part of a fundamentalist Mormon community in Mexico and had dual U.S. and Mexican citizenship. 

The three women and six children were shot and burned after their cars were ambushed by a drug cartel on Monday. 

Mexican police say a suspect was arrested Tuesday near the Arizona border, and that the suspect was heavily armed and holding two bound and gagged hostages.
