Donald Trump Has Another Verbal Battle with Kim Jong Un

The latest verbal confrontation stems over conversations about nuclear weapons.

NATIONWIDE--The war of words continues between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un.

Trump ignited a new verbal battle by saying his "nuclear button" was bigger than the button that belongs to North Korea.

The president's attempt at one-upmanship came after Kim Jong Un said in a New Year's address, "the button for nuclear weapons is on my table," and that he could use it to launch an attack on the entire United States.

In the address, Kim also expressed a desire for a peaceful resolution with South Korea, a break from the aggressive language he used to threaten the US.
Trump, as part of his Tuesday morning tweetstorm, said the potentially warm gesture to South Korea from Kim is "perhaps" good news, "perhaps not," and referred to "sanctions and 'other' pressures" on North Korea.
