INDIANAPOLIS – 11 people were arrested in Johnson County after a three-day child sex sting operation.

This is the third operation that the department has conducted in the last two years, and Johnson County Sheriff Duane Burgess says they’ll probably run more.

“We’ll continue to do these type of operations,” said Burgess. “They’re successful, we’re taking people of the street. We’re trying to protect our children as much as we can, and this is one way that we can do it if we can stop sex trafficking or any human trafficking.”

Deputies set up fake online profiles, posing as underaged teens, to make the arrests.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Franklin Police Department, and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office during the operation.
