RICHMOND, Ind.–The man accused of shooting Richmond Police Officer Seara Burton is now charged with three counts of attempted murder in addition to drugs and weapons charges initially filed in his arrest/ Prosecutors say the additional charges against Phillip Lee come from his shooting at two other police officers at the same time he shot Burton.

Lee was in court Friday afternoon.

Court documents say he fired the gun a total of five times, at three officer, hitting Burton, who is still in the hospital in Ohio.

A judge kept Lee’s bond at $1 million. A trial date was set for October, reported WISH TV. But, that is unlikely to happen.

The court documents say Lee refused to take his hands out of his pockets before pulling a gun, shooting Burton, firing at the other officers, and running. He was shot by an officer returning fire, and was captured in short order.
