(INDIANAPOLIS) – A high-tech startup is now officially Indianapolis-based.

The data analytics firm Intelinair specializes in agricultural data, crunching numbers and analyzing aerial and satellite photos to look for hidden problems lurking in farm fields, like weeds or pests. If the software spots something, the farmer receives a text alert.

Intelinair announced last summer it would relocate its headquarters from Pasadena, California, to Indianapolis. CEO Tim Hassinger says the company’s new home is closer to its primary customer base in Indiana and Illinois. And he says Indy’s growing high-tech presence can support the company’s workforce needs.

Intelinair has 16 Indianapolis employees, but is looking to add about 80 more over the next three years. Hassinger says since announcing the relocation nine months ago, the company’s revenue, client acreage, and product lines have doubled. Deputy Mayor Judith Thomas says it’s one more company Indianapolis can point to as it works to attract more tech firms.

Intelinair has settled on office space on the far northside near the Carmel line. Hassinger says it became available as a sublet when the previous tenant shifted to remote work after the pandemic.
