NEW CASTLE, Ind. — An Indianapolis man accused of attacking and terrorizing a couple when he broke into their house in Henry County has a trial date.
His trial is set for July 13.
On Nov. 4, Michael Yarnell took a gun and broke into the home and robbed the couple of cash, jewelry, credit cards, cellphones, and guns, said Henry County sheriff’s investigators.
Yarnell bound the couple with zip ties and duct tape, and then kicked the man in the face multiple times and groped the woman, said police.
Yarnell is also accused of telling the couple he would come back and kill them if they called the police or shut off their credit cards.
However, Yarnell was arrested later that day for an unrelated crime said the Muncie Star Press.
He was connected to the Henry County crime when he was caught on surveillance video trying to use the credit cards at a convenience store.
Yarnell’s been charged with burglary, robbery, criminal confinement, intimidation, sexual battery and battery resulting in bodily injury.
He’s in the Henry County jail.
