INDIANAPOLIS — What started as an online challenge ended with last week’s near-fatal stabbing at an Indianapolis high school.
Washington Township Police said on Monday that an argument that started on social media between a 17-year-old boy and Wyatt Maxey at North Central High School in Indy escalated in the halls of the high school last week.
Maxey is said to have stabbed the 17-year-old twice, once in the chest and once in the brain. Prosecutors have filed attempted murder charges against Maxey. Investigators say Maxey has admitted to the stabbing.
