LAWRENCE, Ind. — A Brinks messenger was robbed Friday morning in Lawrence.
Just after 10:00 a.m., police responded to the Chase Bank drive-thru ATM’s on 4200 N Franklin Road. There, a Brinks messenger — who was refilling the ATM’s — was robbed at gunpoint by at least two people.
The messenger told police, as he was servicing the ATM’s, he was confronted by two men, one with a handgun, who demanded cash. After receiving the cash, the two men ran off.
No one was hurt during the robbery. Both Lawrence police and the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force are investigating.
