Burger Study to Close Permanently on Tuesday

INDIANAPOLIS — Burger Study, a gourmet burger restaurant in downtown Indianapolis, will close permanently at the close of business on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

The restaurant, which opened in 2017, is closing due to “economic conditions making operations unsustainable,” according to owner Huse Culinary.

Burger Study was designed to rely on office workers, sporting events, conventions, concerts, and business travelers — audiences that have been lacking since the coronavirus pandemic began in March.

Burger Study employees have been offered equal or greater roles at other Huse Culinary restaurants, which include St. Elmo’s Steak House, Harry & Izzy’s, 1933 Lounge by St. Elmo, and The HC Tavern + Kitchen.
