INDIANAPOLIS – Gas prices continue to rise across Indiana and Larry Bucshon is blaming the White House. He says democrats who are blaming price gouging are wrong.

“Let’s be clear, this isn’t remotely close to the culprit to why Hoosiers can’t afford to fill up their cars,” said Bucshon Thursday while speaking on the House Floor. “It’s been the numerous hostile policies of the Biden administration toward American energy producers that has made difficult supply chain shortages and the international disruption caused by the war in Ukraine dramatically worse, and made energy unaffordable at the pump.”

Bucshon said the Biden administration is playing into the hands of Russia and China by selling off parts of the country’s fuel reserve and pursuing restrictive energy policies. He stands firmly against H.R. 7688, which aims to protect consumers from the price-gouging of customers fuels. Bucshon prefers to call it the “socialist energy price fixing act.”

He believes the country should revert back to pre-Biden era of “energy dominance.”
