GREENWOOD, Ind. — A Greenwood man has been extradited back to Indiana, after police in Kansas say he tried to sell psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana.
Adam C. Davis, 30, was charged in April with dealing a controlled substance and dealing marijuana as a controlled substance — both felonies. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance, as a misdemeanor.
If convicted, he could face up to 33.5 years in prison.
In February, Davis was pulled over by Kansas Highway Patrol. Police say they found 147 grams of psilocybin mushrooms inside his vehicle. At some point during this confrontation, Davis mentioned he was from Greenwood, Indiana.
After this interaction, police later executed a search warrant at Davis’s Greenwood home, and found: digital scales, marijuana glass pipes, 124 THC vape cartridges, 12 ecstasy pills, 238 grams of mushrooms, 259 grams of marijuana wax, four pounds of marijuana edibles and a pound of leafy marijuana.
They also found a cell phone, computer, a drug ledger, a marijuana grinder, an electric food saver machine — and a motorcycle, that was reported stolen in 2017.
A warrant was issued for Davis’s arrest in April. He was brought back to Johnson County and booked into the Johnson County Jail on Tuesday. An initial hearing has been set for Nov. 1.
