Homeowner Shoots Would-Be Burglars Disguised as Christmas Carolers
FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Fort Wayne police say no arrests have been made yet, after Christmas carolers tried to break into a home.
On Thursday afternoon, a homeowner told police a couple of men came to his front door while caroling and knocked on the door. When the singing stopped, they shook the door handle, then tried to kick in the door.
That’s when the man inside grabbed his gun and fired shots at the door. He told police he was unsure at the time if he struck anyone.
Fort Wayne police say a person showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound after the incident.
