INDIANAPOLIS — Horizon House is asking Hoosiers to “Share the Warmth” with those experiencing homelessness.

Horizon House is holding a donation drive on Monument Circle this Saturday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Horizon House will be collecting men’s coats, men’s and women’s gloves, and blankets, but all items that provide warmth during the winter months are appreciated. Cash donations will also be accepted.

You can drop off your coat, blanket, or warm winter item at the designated drive-thru lane on the southeast quadrant of Monument Circle across from the AES building.

“As the weather gets colder, we want to encourage others to think of our neighbors experiencing homelessness,” said Executive Director Teresa Wessel. “Our Share the Warmth Drive is critical to keeping many of our neighbors warm and safe all winter long.”

Horizon House serves an average of 200 homeless individuals per day through a variety of services, including onsite hygiene and food, providing clean clothing, facilitating mail, and case management to create connections to essential services.
