BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — An Illinois man is in jail for a fatal hit-and-run in Bloomington, Indiana.

On Sat., Jan 16th, at around 11:32 p.m., Bloomington Police officers were called to the intersection of W 17th Street and N Kinser Pike for the crash.

When they got there, police found two cars in the front yard of a home on the northeast corner of the intersection. Inside one of the cars, police found an 18-year-old man from Poland, Indiana trapped in the driver’s seat.

Police got the man out of the car and he was taken to the hospital, where he died.

The driver of the other car, Joshua J. Mullins, 42, of Dekalb, Illinois, escaped before police arrived. Police eventually found Mullins Sunday afternoon, at the Wheeler Mission Center for Men in Bloomington, less than two miles away from the scene of the accident.

Mullins was arrested and taken to the Monroe County Jail. He faces one charge of Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Death.
