INDIANAPOLIS – A 44-year-old man was arrested Monday by IMPD homicide detectives for attempted murder. John May II is being accused of shooting a man Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to the 1600 block of Harlan Street Sunday around 3:30 p.m., that’s southeast of downtown Indianapolis. Officers say a 27-year-old male had been shot and was in critical condition. He was immediately taken to a hospital.
