IMPD Investigating After Body Found in Retention Pond on Southeast Side

INDIANAPOLIS – Indy Metro Police are investigating a death on the city’s southeast side.
Police were called to 11011 Brookville Road at around 1 a.m. Monday to investigate a report of shots fired.
Officers arrived and did not find a victim during their initial investigation.
The Indiana State Police Dive Team was called in to assist and a man’s body was found in a nearby retention pond.
The man was identified Tuesday as 33-year-old Steven Israel II. His cause of death is pending.
