IMPD Searching for Driver in Hit-and-Run

INDIANAPOLIS  — Indy Metro Police are asking for help finding the driver in a hit-and-run.

A person on a bike was hit by an SUV while riding on Sherman Drive near Pleasant Run Parkway at around 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8.

The victim is in the hospital in grave condition, according to IMPD.

The SUV that hit the victim had been traveling east on English Ave. before turning north on Sherman Drive.

The SUV is described as a gold or tan late 1990s to early 2000s Chevrolet Tahoe or GMC Yukon. The wheels on the SUV are after-market, the side mirrors are oversized, and the hood has a distinct “scoop” or raised area in the center.
