Indiana Man Impaled by Deer Antlers During Hunting Trip
DILLSBORO, Ind. — A Dearborn County man is in an Ohio hospital after being impaled by deer antlers while on a hunting trip.
According to Indiana DNR, 63-year-old Earl Hagy, of Dillsboro, was airlifted to the University of Cincinnati Hospital in stable condition.
Hagy was retrieving a harvested buck from the bottom of a steep incline where he had been hunting. After tying the deer to the rear of his ORV, Hagy tried to drive back up the incline, but the ORV rolled over backward. Hagy was thrown from the vehicle and impaled in the right side of his torso by the deer’s antlers.
Hagy is expected to recover from his injuries.
