INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Secretary of State Holli Sullivan on Monday filed the necessary paperwork to seek the Republican Party’s nomination for Secretary of State.

Secretary Sullivan said she wants to continue protecting the integrity of Indiana’s elections.

“As Secretary of State I know how much is at stake,” said Sullivan. “I’m running because safe and secure elections is not a destination. It is a relentless pursuit to ensure that all eligible voters are able to cast a ballot and all legal votes are counted in a timely manner, free of fraud, corruption, and interference.”

Sullivan became Indiana’s 62nd Secretary of State when she was appointed by Gov. Holcomb following the retirement of Sec. Connie Lawson.

Before becoming Secretary of State, Sullivan served for eight years in the Indiana House of Representatives. During that time, she worked with the Secretary of State’s office to pass legislation to protect Indiana’s elections, including authoring a bill that provided funding for cybersecurity improvements ahead of the 2020 election.

The Indiana Republican State Convention will take place in Indianapolis on June 18.
