VIGO COUNTY, Ind.–An escaped inmate was arrested Tuesday night after being chased by police in Vigo County.

State police say, Timothy Biddy, 59, escaped from the Clay County Jail Sunday night and was seen by an officer in a silver car Tuesday night. That officer tried to stop Biddy, but they say he disregarded the state police patrol car and drove off.

The chase went through several streets reaching speeds as high as 90 mph. They say he later came “to an abrupt stop” on 25th street near Beech Street. Shortly after he stopped, police say he was arrested.

Police say the car was stolen out of Collinsville, Illinois and Biddy had marijuana on him as well.

Biddy is facing the following charges:

-Escape from lawful detention (Clay County warrant), Level 5 Felony

-Resisting Law Enforcement in Vehicle, Level 6 Felony

-Auto Theft, Level 6 Felony

-Reckless Driving, Class A Misdemeanor

-Possession of Marijuana, Class A Misdemeanor
