KOKOMO, Ind. — A kindergarten teacher from Kokomo faces child porn and child exploitation charges.
Brian Jakes, a kindergarten teacher at Elwood Haynes Elementary School, was arrested Friday.
Jakes, 49, faces four counts of child exploitation and nine counts of possession of child pornography.
Police said none of the videos found in Jakes’ possession appeared to involve local children from the Howard County community, reports The Kokomo Tribune.
Police started investigating Jakes in February after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Jakes has been put on leave by the Kokomo School Corporation.
