INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man is dead after police say he walked into traffic and was hit by a pickup truck on the city’s south side Friday night.
Police were called to the intersection of Troy and Keystone avenues just before 11 p.m. Friday on reports of a person struck by a vehicle.
Officers learned a man walked into the street and was struck by a pickup truck. The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Witnesses told police the driver had a green light.
The investigation into the incident is under investigation. Police say the driver of the truck is cooperating with authorities.
