KENNESAW, Ga. — The man arrested for shooting and killing three people at a golf course in suburban Atlanta during the Fourth of July weekend was previously arrested in Indiana.

Bryan Rhoden faces three counts of murder, three counts of aggravated assault, and two counts of kidnapping, according to the Pharos-Tribune. Last Saturday, he drove onto the course at Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, and shot and killed Henry Valdez and Paul Pierson, then golf pro — and Purdue University alum — Gene Siller. Investigators do not believe Siller was targeted, but a motive is still unknown.

In August of 2020, Rhoden led Indiana State Police on a high-speed chase on I-65 through White and Tippecanoe counties, reaching speed of 150 miles per hour through traffic before crashing. He was arrested for resisting law enforcement, but entered a plea agreement and was sentenced to just 20 days in jail.
