FORT WAYNE, Ind. — How long do you think it would take to eat a medium deep-dish pizza?
For pizza lover Danny L., the answer is 11 minutes and 10 seconds.
Danny took home the prize in Tuesday night’s “Deep Dish Pizza Challenge” at Giordano’s in Fort Wayne.
The pizza chain held the contest to determine which of the 31 contestants could devour their signature deep-dish pizza, which weighs about four pounds when it comes out of the oven, the fastest.
By conquering the competition, Danny won a year of free pizza, a t-shirt, and his picture on the wall of the restaurant.
