STATEWIDE–Once the snow ends on Friday, the National Weather Service is advising you to drive slower than you normally would because the roads will likely continue to be slick.

Another system is expected to move into Indiana next week.

“That’s still in question as to what precipitation type we’d have. It could certainly be a variety of winter weather. We’ll be keeping a close eye on that,” said Randy Bowers, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.

Saturday is expected to be another frigid day across the state, but it will eventually warm up.

“There will be a noticeable change. On Sunday, we’ll start to rise above freezing and get into the mid-30s. Then those first couple days next week look like temperatures will increase into the 40s. They may get to 50 by the time we get to Tuesday,” said Bowers.

Although it’s too early to tell for sure, Bowers thinks Wednesday might be the day where snow comes back.

“In the meantime though, just watch for the slick roads caused by Friday’s snow. That’s really the main weather impact for the next couple of days,” said Bowers.
