MARION, Ind. — A stabbing investigation turned into a wild ride for a police officer in Grant County.

State police are investigating as they say a Grant County Sheriff’s lieutenant was answering a call about a domestic disturbance. As he was walking up the long driveway, they say Daniel Young got into a car started driving down the driveway towards the officer.

“Young allegedly drove a Honda Civic passenger car toward Sneed causing him to jump on the hood of the moving vehicle,” said Sgt. Tony Slocum with Indiana State Police. “Young purportedly did not stop and continued driving with Sneed on the hood.”

That’s when the officer fired several shots through the windshield of the car. Troopers say Young will hit with “multiple bullets.”

As Young was being taken to the hospital, officers went into the home where they say the domestic disturbance had happened and found Jonathan Loudy alive with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he is recovering.

Troopers believe it was Young who stabbed Loudy. State police are looking into the whole thing.
