One Person Hurt, Two People Arrested for Shooting at Wells County Manufacturing Facility
OSSIAN, Ind. — One person was hurt, and two people were arrested after a shooting at a manufacturing facility in Wells County on Friday morning.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Brian Walker said they received reports of shots fired at Berne Workwear in Ossian. When officers arrived, they found a man shot in the parking lot. He was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital, where he is in stable condition.
Police received a description of the suspect’s vehicle, and located it on State Road 1, near I-469. The shooter, Reonte Moore of Fort Wayne, was arrested for attempted murder. The woman who helped drive him away from the scene, Jayana Herman, is charged with aiding aggravated battery and aiding a serious violent felon.
Police believe Moore got into a fight with the other man before he shot him.
