Man Dies After Shooting on Indy’s East Side
INDIANAPOLIS — One person died after a shooting Wednesday morning on Indy’s east side.
The shooting happened shortly before 7 a.m. at 530 S. Emerson Ave., just south of English Ave.
Officers arrived and found the victim, a man in his 40s, with a gunshot wound on a porch, IMPD tells WISH-TV’s Kevin Ratermann.
He was taken to the hospital but did not survive.
IMPD said the man was shot after knocking on the door of a house. Police said the victim knew the people inside the house. Police are still trying to figure out exactly what happened.
