SALIDA, Co.-The search for a Colorado woman who is from Alexandria, Indiana has become frustratingly slow, police say.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) says Suzanne Morphew, 49, vanished while on a bike ride May 10 in Maysville. Maysville is west of Salida by way of U.S. 50. Her daughters told police she was missing when they couldn’t get a hold of her after they returned from a camping trip in Idaho.

The search of a residential property east of Salida ended after three days with no new leads or developments, the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said.

The CCSO, the CBI, and the FBI searched several locations on the property to follow up on leads developed during the case.

“We will continue to follow-up on leads as they are identified and vetted by sheriff’s office investigators, the CBI and FBI,” said Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze. “Someone has that key piece of information in this case that will help us locate Suzanne, and I’m asking our community members to continue to use the tip line to provide any information, no matter how inconsequential the tip may seem.”

Hundreds of tips related to Morphew’s case have been called to the designated tip line. The public is asked to continue to report any information about this case by calling (719) 312-7530.

Investigators say the owner of the property was fully cooperative.

Police are now considering Morphew’s disappearance a missing person’s case.

Morphew and her husband Barry moved from Alexandria, Indiana to Colorado in July 2018. Barry has begged for his wife to come home. He and other relatives say he was not home the day Suzanne disappeared because he was away on a training course for his job as a volunteer firefighter in Denver.
