INDIANAPOLIS — A car accident killed a two-year-old girl on the north side of Indianapolis on Tuesday.

Indianapolis Metro Police released more details about the crash on Thursday. It happened along 52nd Street near North Keystone Avenue. They say an SUV little Alana Dior Price was riding in with her mom and two brothers, somehow flipped over and came to rest in the parking lot of an Ali Grocery Store.

Alana’s cousin Symone Beverly says everyone called her “Blossom” because of her blossoming personality who loved the camera.

“I actually have a picture of her, smiling with her hands like this (striking a pose),” Beverly told WISH-TV. “Her brothers, they were super protective of her. Made sure everyone drove the speed limit with her in the car.”

Police have not said how fast the SUV was going when they crashed. The little girl’s family, her mom, and two brothers are expected to recover from their injuries in the crash.

Beverly said now they are having a tough time planning a funeral for Blossom during these challenging times with coronavirus. They have started a Go Fund Me page to raise some money to help pay for the funeral expenses.
