PORTLAND, Ind.–A Portland police officer is accused of trying to engage in sexual misconduct with an underage girl.
The Avon Police Department says they were told that Josh Clark, a law enforcement officer from the Portland Police Department, tried to meet up with a girl who was 14 to “potentially engage in sexual conduct” in Avon.
A video posted by PCI: Predator Catchers Indianapolis appears to show Clark being caught on camera meeting the underage girl and later calling himself “an idiot.”
The Portland Police Department says they have suspended Clark without pay. On Facebook, the Avon Police Department said they were “rightfully disturbed by the video shared publicly online” and that they were working closely with Avon Police.
Clark’s whereabouts are unknown. Both police departments say they are searching for Clark.
