FT. WAYNE, Ind. — A federal investigation may be warranted. Some of the over 2,000 aborted fetuses found in the Illinois home of a now dead abortion doctor may have come from clinics where he worked in Indiana, including Ft. Wayne, South Bend and Gary.
The remains were discovered at Dr. Ulrich Klopfer’s home in Will County, Illinois. They were “medically preserved”.
“We need to determine how Dr. Klopfer was able to get away with this for so long, and how we only know about it now that Dr. Klopfer is deceased,” said Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind). He supports a federal investigation.
“We also need to know how many people working at the Women’s Pavilion (the clinic in South Bend) were aware of Dr. Klopfer’s crimes. I also hope we learn if any of those same staff now work at the Whole Women’s Health clinic in South Bend, and how closely those two organizations are tied,” he said.
“The discovery…is a tragic epilog to a twisted life,” said Cathie Humbarger, with Allen County Right to Life. “There is little left of his life except a heap of broken bodies of dismembered children and more heartbroken mothers than we can count.”

Indiana now requires proper burial of aborted fetuses. Right to Life has promised to work with authorities to ensure they have a burial.
